Grand Tea Parties

Last Sunday, seven chanoyu schools held their gatherings at Sankeien Garden in Yokohama. I spotted this young beauty wearing an exquisite kimono. Most women refuse to be taken photos, but she agreed. I liked her and her kimono. She is a Urasenke Chanoyu student.

I had a ticket to attend each, but I just visited only two. I hope to show you more photos later on when I get enough time.

In olden days or today, it has never been two roads.

Keiko, you look so elegant! I love the elderly lady´s kimono, very clean, but with a very meaningful touch of white birds.

Thank you, Lu. I'm so behind of replying to everyone's messages. Excuse me. Right now,my mind is only on one story. It's wacky and long, but I want to complete it by Christmas. It's a long process. I started it in spring. If you are interested and have time to read it, please let me know. Rebb read some of it and gave me valuable opinion.

Hi Keiko, I absolutely love the kimono in the fourth photo. It’s like a beautiful ocean beach with sand and all those pretty flowers that could be sea anemones or sea shells. Very soothing.

I agree with, Lu, you do look so very elegant!

Glad to hear you continue to work on your story. Happy writing!

Rebb,

Thank you. I'm glad you liked it. There is always unknown, underappreciated artists behind the traditional arts.

I appreciate your appreciation.
